The open sessions area of musicshowcase.com allows musicians the opportunity to increase exposure of their music prior to receiving an invitation. It can also lead to an invitation. After your music is added people vote by dragging your link (or picture) onto a thumbs up or thumbs down. These values are tabulated and a higher ranking will shift you toward the top of the pages and a lower ranking will shift you lower on the pages. Additionally, your link (or picture) size may change according to your ranking. A very high ranking may bring you to the showcase pages for a chance at the spotlight position on the front of musicshowcase.com. Lower rankings may reduce the size of your link (or picture) and may potentially drop you off the site altogether.

Currently, you may add only one (1) original composition and optionally a picture and a blurb about your music. A valid email address is required to use the system. As per our privacy policy we will not share your non-posted material. There is no charge for this service.

By submitting your material you are agreeing to let us display and publicly perform it here at no charge. You may NOT post any material that is not rightfully yours to post. Please include your copyright information.

If your material could be considered as slanderous, depicting acts of violence, has profanity or nudity, or otherwise isn't a fit for the service in general then please do not submit it.

We recommend care and forethought when posting material to the site. Choose your material wisely. You are allowed a 'single post'. We do not recommend posting an email address with your blurb. We do not post your email address with your profile. We recommend only a link back to your website.

Materials submitted should be of the highest quality possible. Only mp3 format music will play through our listening station. The listening station will stream mp3s and help to prevent direct download.

Any attempts at jacking up your votes will subject you to possible blacklisting from musicshowcase.com. You may provide a link from your website and encourage people to vote for you. However, any spamming (mass posting to newsgroups, search engines, or via email) will subject you to removal and blacklisting from our site.

We reserve the right not to post and/or remove any material for any reason.
