What
does a Talent Scout do? A Talent Scout selects
potential artists to become part of the musicshowcase community.
What
does an Agent do? An Agent is someone that
has a proven track record as a Talent Scout. They can be
thought of as Lead Talent Scouts. An Agent gives final approval
to artist listings. They can also perform some of the actions
typical of a Talent Scout. An Agent has a proven track record
of, selecting high quality music, constant adherence to
high ethical standards, and following the rulebook.
How
do I become an Talent Scout? Submit an application.
Please note that since there are a limited number of positions
available we cannot guarantee your acceptance. During the
application review process many factors are taken into account
such as your favorite genres and artists. Region may also
be a factor. An Agent will review your application and try
to respond within a week.
How
do I become an Agent? If you are an active
Talent Scout you can submit an application to be considered
for a Agent spot. It is very competitive because the quality
of the site is highly dependent upon each Agent's choices.
There is a strict ethical code that must be followed. Read
the rulebook to learn more.
What's
in it for me? No form of compensation should
be exchanged for consideration of placement at musicshowcase.com.
That goes against the ethical guidelines
and rulebook.
However, you may be able to receive compensation indirectly.
You can learn more about this during the signup process.
As the site grows we may find it necessary to consider small
adminstrative and/or application fees. But at the moment
we are trying to avoid these types of fees.
